I dag publicerade SCB inflationstakten enligt konsumentprisindex (KPI) för april 2024. Därför passar vi på att lyfta ny forskning på historiska konsumentprisindex i Europa. Jonas Ljungberg, professor emeritus i ekonomisk historia, har nyligen klartlagt och granskat KPI för över 20 länder under de senaste 150 åren. Genomgången visar på forskningsmässiga tveksamheter och felaktigheter för flera länder.
