Dear Subscriber,

We know you're all busy wrapping up 2020 and preparing for the upcoming holiday season break so we are closing out the year with a short newsletter.

Our year end Winter Bash on December 11th was a great success. A big thank you to everyone who came to party, mingle, dance and participated in making it such a wonderful Chamber night! All in all we counted 50+ participants and we believe we achieved everything we aimed for; making sure you got to know each other on a more personal level, made new professional and friendship connections not to forget having a great time. A huge shout out to our Sponsors who made this possible. We absolutely could not have done it without IKEA, Vana Living and Scania!

On Saturday, December 12th, we held a church service to celebrate Saint Lucia for some 60 guests in the Mother of God Church in Tianmu. The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Taipei in collaboration with children from the Swedish School in Taipei performed a heartwarming Saint Lucia procession during the service, Fredrik Boye took to the altar to explain some of the history behind Saint Lucia and we got to enjoy Anders Norell and Sarah Chung from National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra perform ”JUL, JUL, STRÅLANDE JUL”.

After the service everyone enjoyed a traditional Swedish Christmas buffet with meatballs, home baked cakes, saffron buns, ginger snaps and hot mulled wine. We're glad so many could make it and already look forward to next year.

Thank you so much to the Edman, Olofsson/Pröjts and Wikström families and everyone else involved in making this happen!

Looking ahead at 2021 we have an interesting list of business activities and social/cultural events in store, which we look forward to launching together with you as soon as we are back in office again mid January.

Thank you for giving us at the Swedish Chamber of Commerce Taipei the opportunity to work with you this year. It has been an honor and we wish you a happy holiday season and a new year filled with prosperity and happiness!

Happy Holiday wishes from

SCCT Board of Directors, Fredrik and Julia
