Spring and singing in the church!

Spring is fast approaching, and so is Olof Olsson, the Church of Sweden's Asia-based priest who has been invited to Taiwan by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce on May 13th.

During this service, we will listen to the children from the Swedish School singing Den blomstertid Nu Kommer, sing classic hymns together, and listen to songs from the church band from Bread of Life International Church.

Did you know that in Sweden and Finland the hymn Den Blomstertid Nu Kommer, literally Now the time of blossoming arrives is traditionally sung at the end of the school year, before the summer holidays, and as such it has reached widespread recognition in both Finnish and Swedish culture. It is strongly associated with summer, as well as primary and secondary education.

This will be a time to meet under the theme "prayer" and experience classic Swedish church traditions and community as well as a treasure hunt for the children. This is followed by classic Swedish "church coffee" from Viking Bakery for both young and old.

See you there!
