Swedish Chamber of Commerce Taipei

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Taipei (SCCT) works to promote and assist Swedish and Sweden-related companies on the Taiwanese market.

By studying and advancing the commercial and industrial relations between Sweden and Taiwan, we are able to provide our member companies with a platform for making their voices heard among decision-makers.

We put significant time and effort into promoting Sweden culturally, as strengthening the Sweden brand is of high importance and value both to us and our member companies. This goal is achieved by arranging trade fairs providing marketing opportunities for our brands and the Sweden brand in general. Our biggest such event is the annual Sweden Day Taiwan event.

We also organize events of a more social nature. These events are aimed both at the Swedish community here in Taiwan and people of other nationalities with an interest in Sweden. They include midsummer celebrations and an annual crayfish party and can be seen as part of our cultural mission.

In short, we connect Sweden and Taiwan.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, 7 December 2024, from 16:00 to 18:00, because it's time to celebrate one of Sweden's most magical and heartwarming traditions: Lucia! 🌟

Lucia is a cherished symbol of light and warmth, bringing hope to the long, dark Swedish winters. This ancient mythical figure continues to shine brightly, connecting us to a rich cultural heritage.

The Swedish Chamber of Commerce Taipei, in collaboration with the Swedish School in Taiwan and the vibrant Swedish community here, is thrilled to invite you to a cozy and traditional Lucia celebration at the Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Shrine in Lanya!

Here's what we've got lined up for you:

✨ A beautiful Lucia procession, led by the children of the Swedish School and community, serenading us with classic Lucia songs.

✨ A traditional church service conducted by Reverend Olof Olsson from the Swedish Church Asia.

✨ Delicious treats including mulled wine, coffee, juice and gingerbread snaps to make this celebration extra special.

Tickets for parents with child/ren attending The Swedish School of Taiwan are free.

Lucia är en älskad symbol för ljus och värme som skänker hopp i de långa, mörka svenska vintrarna. Denna mytomspunna gestalt fortsätter att lysa klart och knyter oss samman med ett rikt kulturarv.

Svenska Handelskammaren i Taipei, i samarbete med Svenska Skolan i Taiwan och det livfulla svenska samfundet här, har glädjen att bjuda in dig till ett mysigt och traditionellt Luciafirande i Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Shrine i Lanya!

Här är vad som väntar dig:

✨ En vacker Luciaprocession, ledd av barn från Svenska skolan, som sjunger klassiska Luciasånger.

✨ En traditionell gudstjänst som hålls av kyrkoherden Olof Olsson Svenska kyrkan i Asien.

✨ Klassisk julfika, inklusive glögg, kaffe, juice och pepparkakor som gör firandet extra speciellt.
